Tram User Guide

 

Before boarding the tram

  • Purchase your travel ticket

    • Purchase your travel ticket via the “Tram Mobile” application, on platforms at “Tram” kiosks, from ticket vending machines, or from authorized “Tram” retailers.
    • Travel tickets are not sold inside the vehicles. Any violation is subject to a fine.
    • Keep your travel ticket until you exit the arrival station.

Boarding the tram

  • Door opening is automatic

    • If this is not the case, press the flashing green button located in the middle of the doors to trigger opening.
  • Priority

    • Give priority to passengers getting off by standing to the sides of the doors.
  • Door closing is automatic

    • For safety reasons, it is forbidden to try to board or exit the tram once the doors have started closing.
  • Central doors

    • For passengers using wheelchairs or with strollers, all tram units are accessible via the central doors.

On board the tram

Please follow the rules of use:

  • Ticket validation

    • Ticket validation is mandatory every time you board, even during a transfer.
  • Inspection

    • At any time, inspectors may ask passengers to present their travel tickets.
    • In the event of a violation, Tram inspectors are authorized to issue a violation notice and collect the fixed penalty amount.
  • Bulky items

    • Transporting bulky items is prohibited. However, outside peak hours (from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), small packages, suitcases, or small shopping carts are allowed, provided they are not placed on seats and do not obstruct aisles.
  • Children

    • Children under seven years of age must be accompanied.
    • Children under four years of age travel free of charge provided they sit on the lap of the accompanying adult.
  • Strollers

    • Strollers are allowed provided they are folded.
  • Reserved seats

    • In each vehicle, seats are primarily reserved for:
      • Passengers with reduced mobility.
      • Pregnant women or passengers accompanied by young children.
      • Elderly passengers.
  • Emergency alarm

    • In case of emergency, the alarm signal located at each door of the tram can be activated by passengers in order to:
      • Trigger an emergency stop of the tram.
      • Communicate with the driver via intercom.
  • Video recording

    • The tram units are under video surveillance, connected to the Tram Central Control Center.
    • The recordings may be consulted by national police services following the filing of a complaint and upon explicit request from law enforcement.
  • For passenger safety and comfort, it is forbidden to:

    • Transport animals.
    • Board with bicycles or roller skates.
    • Misuse the emergency alarm.
    • Spit or throw waste inside vehicles.
    • Transport any dangerous, flammable, toxic, or sharp objects.
    • Smoke inside the vehicle.

Before exiting the tram

  • Your belongings

    • Make sure you have not left anything behind in the tram.

Outside the tram

  • Dispose of your ticket

    • Dispose of your travel ticket in a trash bin to keep the area clean.
  • Exit the station

    • Leave the station using pedestrian crossings and avoid walking on the tram tracks or along their edges.
