Prices and validity

Sold individually, the ticket allows free travel across the entire network for one hour from the first validation, and allows transfers between different lines. You can purchase tickets in advance to avoid waiting time at kiosks, as the ticket remains valid as long as it has not been validated.

Digital ticket: 7 MAD Tram Mobile is an application for purchasing and validating your transport tickets directly with your smartphone. With one click, your transport ticket is at your fingertips.

Parking ticket (P+R): 14 MAD The P+R ticket allows you to travel round trip and gives you access to the two park-and-ride facilities near the two terminal stations, Madinat Al Irfane and Hay Karima. Ticket validation is mandatory for both the outbound and return trips.

Parking ticket (P+R Supplement): Free The P+R Supplement ticket allows you to travel round trip free of charge if you hold a valid subscription card, and gives you access to the two park-and-ride facilities near the two terminal stations, Madinat Al Irfane and Hay Karima. It is mandatory to validate both the ticket and the subscription card for the outbound and return trips.

Trambus ticket: 10 MAD Intermodality applies to the entire tramway network and Bus Line 30. It allows users to travel by tram and bus using a single transport ticket connecting Rabat and Témara.

Pass Tram CAN 24 h: 20 MAD The 24-hour pass is sold individually and allows customers to travel freely on both tramway lines for 24 hours from the first validation. It is not mandatory to use it on the day of purchase; it remains valid as long as it has not been validated.

Pass Tram CAN 7 days: 80 MAD The weekly pass is sold individually and allows customers to travel freely on both tramway lines for one week from the first validation. It is not mandatory to use it on the day of purchase; it remains valid as long as it has not been validated.

Pass Tram CAN 21/12–18/01: 270 MAD The special CAN 2025 pass is sold individually and allows customers to travel freely on both tramway lines during its entire validity period, from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

Pass Tram+Bus CAN 24 h: 30 MAD The 24-hour pass is sold individually and allows customers to travel freely on both tramway lines and the bus network for 24 hours from the first validation. It is not mandatory to use it on the day of purchase; it remains valid as long as it has not been validated.

Pass Tram+Bus CAN 7 days: 130 MAD The weekly pass is sold individually and allows customers to travel freely on both tramway lines and the bus network for one week from the first validation. It is not mandatory to use it on the day of purchase; it remains valid as long as it has not been validated.

Pass Tram+Bus CAN 21/12–18/01: 540 MAD The special CAN 2025 pass is sold individually and allows customers to travel freely on both tramway lines and the bus network during its entire validity period, from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

Return bus ticket: 5.5 MAD The CAN 2025 return bus ticket, sold individually, allows passengers to complete their return journey from the stadium.

 

Transfer rules:

 
  • If you took a tram on Line 1, the transfer is valid only on a tram on Line 2.
  • If you took a tram on Line 2, the transfer is valid only on a tram on Line 1.

Tramway INFRACTIONS

Validation of transport tickets is mandatory upon each boarding, even during a transfer. At any time, inspectors may request to check transport tickets, and any violation is subject to a fine.  

Category 1 fare violations = 50 MAD

 
  • Exceeding the validity period (the last validation must be carried out within one hour following the first validation)
  • No ticket
  • No validation
  • Validation during inspection
  • Expired subscription
  • Use of a card by someone other than the cardholder
  • Damaged ticket (illegible or torn)
  • Violation of the smoking ban
  • Improper use of a sound device
  • Spitting inside a vehicle
 

Category 2 fare violations = 150 MAD

 
  • Improper use of the emergency alarm
  • Obstructing door closure
  • Falsified ticket (scratching, gluing, overprinting)

Offenses

    • Failure to comply
    • Insults or threats against a Tram agent
    • Identity theft or false identity
    • Vandalism or damage to equipment

Surcharges

    • Fine increased by 20 MAD for payment at a commercial agency within 48 hours = 70 MAD
    • Fine increased by 50 MAD for payment at a commercial agency between 48 hours and 10 days = 100 MAD
    • Fine increased by 150 MAD for payment at a commercial agency between 10 days and 1 month = 200 MAD
